School-based SLPs strive to provide educationally relevant services in the least restrictive environment, which may mean providing language therapy services within the student's classroom.  In this presentation, Dr. Lisa Ard will provide information that will assist SLPs in discussing the benefits of providing language therapy services in the classroom and prepare them to collaborate with classroom teachers on curriculum-based instruction. Dr. Ard is the Program Specialist for the Speech/Language Impairment and Deaf/Hard of Hearing programs in Escambia County School District and has extensive prior experience as a school-based SLP providing classroom-based services to students with a variety of disabilities in both general education and specialized classroom settings.  * The Zoom link for this presentation will be made available under the course documents and will only be viewable after registration is completed.
